Educational Data – Philadelphia Vs Los Angeles – Project For A Charity – Thanks!

Hi All, I am doing some pro bono work for a really great educational foundation here in Philadelphia. This is pretty basic, but I am trying to accomplish the following:

-compare educational statistics (attendance, test scores, achievement, etc) across individual elementary and high schools in Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

-for instance, a specific Philadelphia elementary school vs a specific California elementary school.

-there is a lot of data out there but I am finding it tough to compare apples to apples in terms of test scores etc given different state testing standards.

Is anyone aware of good datasets or websites out there to accomplish this?
