It’s an open species database, now available as free downloads. Covers plants, aquarium fish and reptiles\/exotic pets.<\/p>\n

What’s in it:<\/p>\n

– 410k species with full taxonomy<\/p>\n

– Common names in Chinese and English<\/p>\n

– 2.7M trait records like light, temperature and care level<\/p>\n

CSV or Darwin Core, CC-BY.<\/p>\n

Heads up: the traits are AI-extracted. We’re bringing in a few PhDs in these fields to review and correct them, but that’s still in progress, so there will be mistakes for now. If you know a group well, I’d honestly love for you to poke holes in it.<\/p>\n
