{"id":42594,"date":"2026-09-14T07:27:11","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T05:27:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.graviton.at\/letterswaplibrary\/paid-uk-renewable-energy-installer-supplier-dataset-7241-businesses-with-mcs-companies-house-enrichment\/"},"modified":"2026-09-14T07:27:11","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T05:27:11","slug":"paid-uk-renewable-energy-installer-supplier-dataset-7241-businesses-with-mcs-companies-house-enrichment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.graviton.at\/letterswaplibrary\/paid-uk-renewable-energy-installer-supplier-dataset-7241-businesses-with-mcs-companies-house-enrichment\/","title":{"rendered":"[PAID] UK Renewable Energy Installer &amp; Supplier Dataset \u2013 7,241 Businesses With MCS + Companies House Enrichment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- SC_OFF --><\/p>\n<div class=\"md\">\n<p>I recently completed a structured dataset of <strong>7,241 renewable-energy installers, suppliers and related specialist businesses across the UK<\/strong>, covering Solar PV, heat pumps, battery storage, EV charging, solar thermal, biomass, wind and other renewable technologies.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Disclosure:<\/strong> I built this dataset and it is sold commercially through my company, Bitrixa Limited.<\/p>\n<p>The dataset was assembled and enriched from multiple public and official sources rather than being a direct export of a single directory.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the structured fields include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Company \/ trading name<\/li>\n<li>Installer \/ supplier classification<\/li>\n<li>Primary technology<\/li>\n<li>Other technologies and services<\/li>\n<li>Region and location<\/li>\n<li>Website<\/li>\n<li>MCS directory match<\/li>\n<li>MCS technologies<\/li>\n<li>Companies House number where confidently matched<\/li>\n<li>Company status \/ company information<\/li>\n<li>Accreditation and supporting public-source information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A few findings from the completed dataset:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>7,241<\/strong> deduplicated businesses<\/li>\n<li><strong>5,878<\/strong> classified as installers<\/li>\n<li><strong>1,157<\/strong> installer + supplier businesses<\/li>\n<li><strong>206<\/strong> supplier-only businesses<\/li>\n<li><strong>5,443<\/strong> matched to MCS directory information<\/li>\n<li><strong>6,275<\/strong> matched to Companies House numbers<\/li>\n<li><strong>6,671<\/strong> businesses with websites identified<\/li>\n<li><strong>3,605<\/strong> businesses classified primarily as multi-technology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>One result I found particularly interesting was how common multi-technology businesses are.<\/p>\n<p>Nearly half of the dataset is primarily classified as <strong>Multi-Technology<\/strong>, rather than purely Solar PV or Heat Pumps.<\/p>\n<p>For example, a solar installer may also offer battery storage, EV charging and heat pumps, which makes a simple one-category directory much less useful for analysing the market.<\/p>\n<p>Another interesting difference appears in MCS matching.<\/p>\n<p>Of the businesses primarily classified as Heat Pumps, nearly all were matched to MCS directory information, while the Solar PV group had a much lower match rate. This should not be interpreted as the percentage of certified solar installers nationally because the solar segment also includes suppliers and businesses identified through other sources.<\/p>\n<p>This is therefore <strong>not intended to be an official census of every renewable-energy company in the UK<\/strong>.
