What it is: AfrPowerOS is an open, machine-readable tracker of Africa’s civilian<\/p>\n
nuclear-energy programs – 20 countries so far (Rwanda, Kenya, Ghana, Egypt, South<\/p>\n
Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia, Morocco, Algeria, Ethiopia, Sudan,<\/p>\n
Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Senegal, Mali, Niger, Eswatini, DR Congo).<\/p>\n
Per country: programme phase, IAEA milestones status, regulator, implementing<\/p>\n
agency, planned capacity, vendors, agreements, research reactors, and key events.<\/p>\n
Why it’s trustworthy, per record:<\/p>\n
– Every record carries a confidence label (Verified \/ Inference \/ Speculation \/<\/p>\n
Unverified) and every fact has source URLs (IAEA, government, regulators, media).<\/p>\n
– Schema-validated: python3 scripts\/validate.py (no dependencies).<\/p>\n
– Data corrections are welcome via issues\/PRs – errors are expected, this is an<\/p>\n
early-stage community dataset.<\/p>\n
