{"id":39894,"date":"2026-03-24T12:27:58","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T11:27:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.graviton.at\/letterswaplibrary\/professional-mqm-annotated-machine-translation-dataset-16-lang-pairs-48-annotators\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T12:27:58","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T11:27:58","slug":"professional-mqm-annotated-machine-translation-dataset-16-lang-pairs-48-annotators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.graviton.at\/letterswaplibrary\/professional-mqm-annotated-machine-translation-dataset-16-lang-pairs-48-annotators\/","title":{"rendered":"Professional MQM-annotated Machine Translation Dataset &#8211; 16 Lang Pairs, 48 Annotators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><!-- SC_OFF --><\/p>\n<div class=\"md\">\n<p><em>Disclosure: this is our own dataset.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Our dataset consists of 362 translation segments annotated by 48 professional linguists (not crowdsourced) across 16 language pairs.<\/p>\n<p>MT systems evaluated: EuroLLM-22B, Qwen3-235B, TranslateGemma-12B.<\/p>\n<p>Language pairs (all from English): Arabic (MSA, Egyptian, Moroccan, Saudi), Belarusian, French, German, Hmong, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian and European), Russian, Ukrainian.<\/p>\n<p>Each segment includes full MQM error annotations:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>error category (accuracy, fluency, terminology, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>severity level (minor, major, critical)<\/li>\n<li>exact error span in the text<\/li>\n<li>multiple annotators per segment for inter-annotator agreement analysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Methodology follows WMT guidelines.
