Hey everyone \ud83d\udc4b I\u2019m currently working on my final year engineering project based on disease prediction using Machine Learning.<\/p>\n

Since real medical datasets are hard to find, I decided to generate synthetic data for training and testing my model. Some people told me it\u2019s not a good idea \u2014 that it might affect my model accuracy or even look bad on my resume.<\/p>\n

But my main goal is to learn the entire ML workflow \u2014 from preprocessing to model building and evaluation.<\/p>\n

So I wanted to ask: \ud83d\udc49 Will using synthetic data affect my model\u2019s performance or generalization? \ud83d\udc49 Does it look bad on a resume or during interviews if I mention that I used synthetic data? \ud83d\udc49 Any suggestions to make my project more authentic or practical despite using synthetic data?<\/p>\n

Would really appreciate honest opinions or experiences from others who\u2019ve been in the same situation \ud83d\ude4c<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
