But my real question is whether anyone<br \/>\ncan tell me the background of this problem? Enjoy&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>There are two integers each between 1 and 100.  P knows their product,<br \/>\nS knows their sum.  Obviously, if they told each other the sum and<br \/>\nproduct, they could figure out what the integers were.  Instead, they<br \/>\nhave the following conversation:<\/p>\n<p>\tP:  I don&#8217;t know what the numbers are.<br \/>\n\tS:  I knew you didn&#8217;t.  Neither do I.<br \/>\n\tP:  Oh! Now I know.<br \/>\n\tS:  Oh!
